Five Spice Doughnuts (gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free)

I was watching the Food Network the other night and a special on best fried foods came up. One of the favorites came from a modern Asian cuisine restaurant  that served fried yeast donuts tossed in five spice sugar. 

Inspired, I tossed my gluten-free doughnuts into some five spice sugar I made.

Five Spice Sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon five spice powder
