Sauteed Beet Leaves

why do beet leaves look so similar to the swiss chard? and what are their benifits?

well they are from the same plant family maranthaceae-Chenopodiaceae.
Beet leaves offer protein, calcium, fiber, beta carotene, vitamins A and C, and some B vitamins.

Easy Sauteed Beet Leaves Recipe

3 stalks of beet leaves
2 cloves garlic (slices)
salt to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil

in a medium saute pan, add the olive oil, and turn the heat to medium high. Then add in the garlic and beet leaves. Saute for about 5 minutes, until wilted, add in the salt to taste.

  1. That is really very delicious and healthy recipe. Till now I was just aware of recipes made up of beat roots and not known that such a nice recipe can also be made from beat leaves.
