Vegan Shorbat Adas (Middle Eastern Lentil Soup)

Ingredients8 cups water
1 1/2 cups small red lentils
2 vegan bullion cubes
1/2 cup onions (diced)
1 clove garlic
3/4 tsp cumin (to taste)
1 tsp tumeric (to taste)
1 tsp fresh chopped parsley
1 lemon wedged (optional)


wash lentils. In a pot, add water, lentils, bullion cubes, onions, garlic, cumin, tumeric, & parsley, bring to a boil and simmer on low for ~30 minutes, stir occasionally.

serve with lemon wedge on side, for those who like the citric taste in lentil soup.
